Hidden Vale

A huge 60x60 battlemap

Here we go... after nearly 50 hours of growing this huge map out of nothing, I am quite pleased with how it turned out and hope that it will inspire some interesting plots or encounters in your games :-) 

Hidden Vale is a rocky valley at the downstream end of a small river canyon in hilly walking  trail country, you are going to struggle to get a cart through here,  however you are definitely going to find a lot of cover if you start a  fight with someone ...

This could be a simple overnight camping stop, or it may lead to further mysteries

I  have included several interesting features that will hopefully inspire plots for your players to enjoy getting tangled up in, including a cave entrance that you can add a whole underground level to if you wish - if your players figure out how to open it (the river fountain may or may  not have something to do with that....)

Special features:​

• Top left = swing bridge over the canyon and a set of stairs down one of the cliffs to access the left hand side of the river
• Top right = top of the slope. No trees, more shrubs. Glows strangely at night.
• Middle = a fountain in the middle of the river - glows at night
  & a round viewing platform that could be a campsite, a trap, a
  launch site for flight or, with the addition of a symbol overlay or
  asset, it could be a shrine, a portal, or place for magic rituals.
• Lower left = a set of steps going down into the ground to a cave
  entrance below a large bolder, and a shallow ford over the river to a
  larger campground (add your own tents)
• Lower right = a goblin campsite hidden in the trees with a maze of
  separate trails leading down towards the main campsite - this camp might be visible from the edge of the viewing platform or from the other side of the river...

Map Sizes:

The full map is 60x60 squares, with each square being 150 pixels. - great for Vtt and high enough resolution for home printing. Due to the size of the files, all the variations are provided in 2 formats:

• Split into 2 parts, each 30x60 (Left = A  & Right = B) _ perfect for Vtt use
• Full size, each 60x60 and saved a a higher quality _ for Vtt use where you can upload a larger file size, or for home printing
