Work In Progress - The Dragonfly Cluster

Progress on the realm of air map (The Dragonfly Cluster) continues in drips and drabs between assisting a family member who has been ill ... they had an op a few weeks ago & have been home for 2 1/2 weeks now. They are starting to be able to do most things for themselves again now ... which is great, not just for them, but also for The Dragonfly Cluster map ...
So far, 2 islands are inked and part coloured (see above) and today I will be working on inking a whole bunch of smaller islands and rocks with different 'themes'
Once I have a good collection I will arrange them so that they are floating in space with layers going deep into the map - Still a 2D map... but I will separate those layers out for Navigators & Explorers... with Surveyors getting the individual island, rock clusters and cloud layers as separate assets...
Also, something else to look forward to... Adventure Music is plotting to collaborate with me on this release with some soft ambient music to suit the setting ... We last collaborated back in September 2020 on the Cavern Tavern map .... so all things going well, the magic will be repeated :-)
On a future thinking note: All the islands for this map are solid stone... However.... the realm of air is also known to have solidified clouds that folk have built on/in ...
So I am thinking that the NEXT map (After this one) might have to be a fluffy cloud-islands realm of air setting.... What do you all think of that idea?
