patrons-only askbox
Added 2023-05-29 22:57:43 +0000 UTCas many of you probably know, i used to run a public askbox where i allowed people to send me questions about my work, myself, and whatever nonsense i could formulate an answer to.
i stopped doing that because it became stressful, but now the askbox is back- for paying users only. my hope is that this will reduce the volume of questions to a more manageable level and filter out trolls. i would prefer that you not give out the link to non-patrons, but i acknowledge that i can't stop you.
unlike the original askbox, i can also guarantee that if you send me a question i *will* answer it, as long as it follows some basic ground rules i'm about to put forward:
1. no bigotry or harassment, whether it's directed at me or someone else.
2. if you choose to ask me a personal question, please be respectful and understand that privacy concerns may prevent me from answering.
3. don't ask me what's going to happen in the comic. that's what the comic is for.
4. unless it's directly relevant to the contents of the comic, please avoid controversial discourse topics. i can't promise that i will answer questions like this. use your best judgment.
5. if you ask me a question about pop culture (for ex. "does milo enjoy the musical stylings of paul anka?") you run the risk of me not knowing what you're talking about. i'll still answer your question but the answer might be boring.
6. just be cool ok?
