About his name, "Equinox": it basically means when day and night are both equal long, which happens once in spring and in autumn.
I really like that his colors, both feather and clothing, have warm and cold colors, day and night if you wanna say, and I hope the meaning of his name can be seen in his overall design.
Oh, and he is based on a chaffinch x//3
