It's mainly the principle of the thing. The effort of arriving on time. She could hold up her phone and show 6pm exactly, but there's something else going on. A trap Sam wasn't ready for. ;)

2017-04-26 18:42:07 +0000 UTCThere's a big flaw with her rule. How can a person know they're on time if, say, the watch they're using is a bit too slow or fast? She could get there at 6:00, according to her watch, while the actual time is 5:59.
