Redesign...

...Everything Black Label related up till now is Chapter 0. Bonus Material, if you will. The only exception to that is THE NOVICE, and let's face it, by the time I get to that part of the story, I'm gonna wanna redraw most of it anyway.

So, before I finish up the first few pages of Chapter 1, let's start things right and make these characters a little less Sunstone-y. This is honestly my last chance to do this, and after sleeping on it, I've decided it has to be done. One day I am going to meet Stjepan Sejic (the creator of Sunstone) and I want to be able to shake his hand and look him in the eye without feeling like I took something from him. So, let's make Meg and Ellie look a little less like Ally and Lisa.

Honestly, I can do this by taking them back toward their original designs. Meg will keep the glasses though. I can't imagine her without them (and when I do, she squints). I'll switch Ellie's hair from red to brown (easy fix to make), and change her hair a touch. I don't want to make any drastic changes. Just enough that if you hold it next to a Sunstone drawing, people won't automatically assume that it's Sunstone fan art.

Once I've settled on their looks, I'm going to redraw the cover image from the launch comic. A perfect way to start anew.

As frustrated as I am about all this, I'm also feeling a renewed sense of excitement. Like a weight is off my shoulders.

I'm leaning toward #1, #4, #5. Let me know your thoughts.
