Weekly Update 07.30.18...

…fell a tad ill this weekend but I’m back at 100% now, so let’s see what we can get done this week!

First things first, the Inferno Gallery show was on Saturday! It was small, but well attended with an interesting cross section of people. Sold a few prints and books and met a fan from DevArt, so that was fun! All in all, a good night out!

New post going up in a little while, but first some background…

I was hoping to get a bunch of pages done last week, but the previous page had a lot more detail and took a lot more time than I anticipated. I spent most of my time getting the layout for the next half dozen pages (Game Night) figured out. After that I needed a break, so I shifted my focus over to experimenting with the Clip Studio software.

I’ve had Clip Studio on my computer for some time and I practice with it every now and again, but it hasn’t been a huge priority since the set up and tools are so different from what I’m used to (photoshop 7). Clip Studio does however make drawing digital line art sooooo much easier! So smooth and clean! Once I master using this program I will no longer need to spend time printing, tracing, redrawing in pencil, scanning, cleaning up artifacts, etc., etc., etc. It will save me loads of time!

So today’s post (going up shortly) will show you what this program is capable of. Hope you’ll look forward to it!

Okay, plan for the week. I am out of town for work after Wednesday and won’t be back till Sunday which is my next game of Call of Cthuhlu (so excited!) so I don’t have as much art time as I’d like, I’m going to focus on getting the next page of BLACK LABEL done before I go. After that, most of my drawing time will likely be spent working a bit more with Clip Studio.
