2023-03-21 15:17:43 +0000 UTCHey Bailey, idk if you will see this but I was wondering how close Luis Castillo got to the 50. He might not be a Cy Young candidate, but he is the ace of a very solid Mariners pitching staff featuring Kirby, Robbie Ray, and (even though I know you don't like him) Logan Gilbert. Castillo put up a 4.5 bwar season last year despite missing some time, his xERA and xFIP totals matched his impressive totals in the regular ERA and FIP categories, and his fastball Velo is around the 95th percentile league wide. Even if he's not in the 50, I think he is pretty deserving of at least a 60 range. Also, and this doesn't really make him a more talented pitcher, but he pitches in Safec-, I mean, T-Mobile, which is a pitchers park and will probably help his BABIP a little bit, so I wouldn't be surprised if his luck trends up a little bit from his time at Great American.
