Yeah, that actually is more or less how Sakura no Uta works actually, funnily enough. Not exactly, but it's close enough to show that's totally possible. Again though, I wouldn't really recommend it, because it makes things a lot harder. But on the flip side, if you can figure that out, it would make it easier to combine influences that might not seem straightforwardly compatible (also something I don't recommend doing until you're very comofrtable structuring stories lol).
