its like ragnar simply prefers knut and puts him above others and in overall terms thats selfish behavior in comparisson to the love he described with the corpse in the german sub it was called "bevorzugung" that means "preference" in english

That’s what I understood. Loving one person above all others puts everyone else beneath that and discriminates against them.
