When you start watching season 2 of demon slayer, don't watch the opening until the last couple of episodes, it spoils some things in it.

For longer anime I'll go with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! Youtube also loves JJBA reactions :)

A good longer show to start would be dragon ball z. It's good quite a bit of episodes and it's a great show. But that came out in the 80s and 90s and anime storytelling, pacing and style was wildly different. So you'll have to keep that in consideration. Just a recommendation.

I second the other person who said my hero academia as a voice for a longer anime. It's a little older so the animation isn't on par with demon slayer or AOT, but it brings up those really classic superhero concepts and it's just so much fun to learn about the world (tons of world-building!) Its on season 6, 125 or something episodes with another 1 or 2 seasons to come out, so it would last a long time.

For a long anime something like my hero academia is a very good choice and I think it’s the type of show you would enjoy.
Or you could try one of the classics like bleach or dragon ball (I remember you enjoyed the game story)

Also, for a decent longer anime, I’d recommend Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure or My Hero Academia. Both do well on YouTube.
Oh and OPM S2 is good! I don’t get why it gets hate

The confusion with the episodes is that the studio released the movie as the next thing you have to watch, but then when they did “season 2” they broke up the movie into 6 episodes and added an anime-exclusive prologue to the now episodes 2-7 (the ones that were originally the movie). Personally, I think watching the movie is a superior experience to the episodes, as the latter interrupts the flow (and especially the music) with them having to be 23 min long. The movie wasn’t made to be cut into chunks like that, in my opinion

Tanjiro is an involuntary user of rizz breathing edit: my faveourite thick anime is for sure Hunter X Hunter, the entire story/manga is not finished, but the anime (148 episodes) up to this point does have a nice ending which does not feel jarring or inconclusive and it is also a popular show that lot's of people have interest in and from what I can tell reactions to it does do pretty well on youtube

I think all the confusion in the community comes from the fact that Demon Slayer doesn't actually have officially recognized seasons .
I think it's the only show that cuts the anime into different story "arcs" instead of just "season 1" or "season 2" with 'season 1' being the "unwavering resolve arc" and the continuations are "Mugen Train arc" then "Entertainment District arc" etc.
Blame the producers🤷🏻♂️
