Just to throw my 2 cents in and clear something up, if I recall, the first scene where we see ketil and arnheid together alone in the manga is when ketil and her are together in bed, in the moment where ketil is monologing about how his personality he built up is all based on a lie. In the anime, arnheid is clothed in bed next to him, however in the manga, she is shown topless, with a sort of solemn / blank expression on her face. Just with that info in mind, I find it sort of hard to believe that arnheid WANTED to be in that situation with him, more like she felt she had to for her best chance of survival in her situation. I don't think she ever actually "liked" ketil, she was a slave and was probably doing what she felt she had to in order to survive and maybe one day see Gardar again. That's just my thoughts on their whole relationship, not too sure but it seemed like something that was formed out of need rather than actual affection.
