I have arisen from the ashes

Hi, all!

I am so sorry for my radio silence in the last few weeks. Something about me that I've mentioned before is that I'm super private. And that goes doubly for when things aren't going well. When things are not great, it's second nature for me to hold it in and not share it. Which isn't great for life! Also not great for here

Last summer, my mom was diagnosed with stage three lymphoma, for the second time. It was kind of... a terrible blow because she had almost been at the five year mark since she'd been in remission from the first time she was diagnosed. And the first time she was sick, it was really touch-and-go.

I won't go into too much detail or else I would end up in a full rant about the healthcare system in this country, but the last months have been a huge drain on energy and finances, and on top of it all - there's covid. With omicron and the holiday surge of covid, my mom hasn't been able to get the right healthcare at the hospital in the last month, and it's been... a lot.

On top of that, my car issues after my accident were only just sort of figured out in the last week.

With all of this piling up, writing and editing has been a bit of a struggle.

However! I do have some great news. Which is that I've just about finished all of the bits and bobs on the WYLEI novella, hitting 35k (... longer than I expected). And that will be posted this weekend!

I'll be officially back on posting video readings and scene outtakes in the next week as well! The monthly scenes for 2022 will be centered around an alternate ending for Those Who Wait!

So! We have a lot coming up. Thank you all so much for sticking with me and continuing to follow me on this writing and life journey :)

Sorry to hear about your mom. Not to minimize what you and your family are going through, but my mom also has stage four breast cancer and was in remission for a year before it was diagnosed as stage four. Found out last year Christmas time, so, I can relate to you and what you’re going through a little bit. It’s not easy. Even though it happens every day, we all experience losses and have people who we love get sick, it never gets easier to accept or navigate through on a personal level. Thank you for sharing and letting people know that you’re human… that you need time to spend with your family/ for personal things at times, and can’t always just produce extremely entertaining stories for all of us allll the time!! 🙂

I’m new and super excited to be here. Thank you for sharing what you’ve gone through. It causes me to respect your writing and creativity and willingness to share even more, if that was possible.
