Plot twist, sister is behind it, collects insurance money for both acrobats and brother (if he dies, which that looks like a hefty neck blow)

It took me until today to see the Batman-Robin origin parallels, the costume color similarities, etc., but then again anyone on a trapeze in a cape ... maybe I just haven't been reading this strip long enough; I missed the first year.
