Hey you lovely lot and hello to you few newcomers that have recently signed up.
Sorry I've been quiet this week, since the gathering last weekend it's been even more crazy here than usual.
But, we have some great news!
Firstly, thank you to all the folks that came to the South Central meet, it was amazing to meet you all and get to put faces to names.
We broke a record for the most people in my van at one time, hitting 12 all crammed in here!
Unfortunately due to weather and the site being bogged out my plan of parking up close together and having a bit on an area to chill fell to shit instantly, we had to settle for parking along the roads. Then Lance getting very ill on the Saturday night saw me nursing him rather than socialising, but hey, it wouldn't be a Project.Amber thing if something didn't go wrong 😅 But we had a great time all the same and I hope you did too.
Second of all, I have the finale of Amber's massive rebuild here waiting for you!
I mean, seeing as you guys have extra eyes on what goes on here, the title is a bit mute, but sometimes you gotta tickle the balls of the Youtube algorithm to get the vids out there publicly, and I've got a big expense coming up soooo..... 😉
It went from creeping towards the finish line to jumping back about 2 football fields, things seriously fell to shit but I can finally share the story with you, and put this whole chapter to bed.
And Finally, WE'VE BOOKED OUR FERRY TICKETS!
28th of March we will FINALLY be leaving the Isle of Doom and beginning our journey back to Portugal where hopefully we can pick back up where we left off over a year ago and get back onto the land.
I say hopefully because after the year we've had I'm just kind of expecting stuff to wrong, but overall we're positive and excited!
So this is why we've been quiet this week, its full steam ahead to get ready.
As I type Emma's van is in the air having it's few bits of welding done, I'm fitting solar panels to the trailer, We've just managed to release the 16" wheels off the donor van's rear axle that were rusted solid and that can now go to the scrapyard to re-join it's body, and we're sorting through paperwork for us, Lance's travel stuff, and everything else in between.
Please bare with us over the next few weeks, I have videos waiting to be made but what with the move going on and the stress levels rising, there may be some downtime.
But I hope you enjoy the finale and everything that was involved there.
A special thanks to Jon who helped throughout but also came with some fun toys to film the ending, that was a fun night! There should be a "behind the scenes" video coming out just about that night as it was just ridiculous.
Anyway I'll stop rambling, I'm being summoned to Emma's van to sort a panel, or something I don't know I've been evicted into the carpark today and can't hear.
Catch you all later!
C.J, Emma & Lance
