Attibute Panel: Evolution from an Artic Wolf

2 - Reborn as a baby wolf

The Arctic, a remote part of the world where ghosts roam the cold ground, a place where a vast territory abounds that humans still do not dare to tread often and where beasts survive causes that even humans themselves are not able to endure.

Everyone knows that the whole world depends on the Arctic, but also for obvious reasons it is known to be the most unprotected place on the planet.

Every year the ice increases and the cold gets stronger, but it also depends on the time of the year to keep it at the same size. When winter comes, it is as if a dead silence pervades all around the Arctic.

The cold-blooded animals cope with the low temperatures by becoming inactive, leaving all the snowy surroundings completely deserted.

All animals, especially the rare ones that were hard to find disappear without a trace. Humans especially, do not dare to set foot in these places at this time of the year.

But also, especially for those animals that did not gather enough food to survive, their time becomes one of hunting.

...

In a cave somewhere in this vast snowy place, a young Polar wolf, known as an Arctic wolf, was sleeping in the arms of a strong female wolf.

Luke began to perceive the senses in his body, he felt so warm that he moved to position himself in a better way, this is one of those few times when he can really sleep well.

Rrrr!

Luke, who was somewhere between asleep and half awake, wanted to move his arms to scratch his cheek.

But... An uneasy feeling began to invade his body when he couldn't feel his hand, this wasn't the first time he slept on his arm and it completely fell asleep to the point of not feeling it, but Luke didn't know why today he felt something was different.

The moment Luke wanted to move his other arm to confirm that he really had fallen asleep on his arm, he discovered something.

"Wait... Where are my arms?"

"Y... what's wrong with my inner voice?"

Luke was soon horrified to discover that he couldn't move his arms, feel his hands or sense what he was lying on, and even his inner voice sensed his outer one and he discovered it turned into a dog-like snore!

"I just figured it out, I'm just dreaming!"

Luke began to level out his breathing, he focused his groggy mind like those times he had sleep paralysis. But the moment he twisted his body and opened his eyes to look around, his blurry eyes soon focused on his surroundings and he was horrified to discover that he had turned into a small wolf.

A small Arctic wolf with fur like snow, crimson red eyes and a body that was no more than thirty centimeters long.

"It can't be, what's going on?"

Luke only felt that all the blood in his body was agitated, every part of his muscles tensed, and his mind, which was the most agitated, now hummed without understanding what was happening.

Even hallucinogenic mushrooms are not supposed to be powerful enough to make you experience this kind of situation, are they? There couldn't possibly be a type of drug that could create such a strong illusion, Luke could even swear that the closest drug he's been exposed to is the internet.

He had never seen a similar scene before, the last news he read about animals was some time ago with the gathering of signatures for humans not to intervene in the Arctic to extract oil. But like a normal human, after a few days he no longer cared.

He even remembers that before going to sleep he had been watching the Oscar awards, how could he even relate his situation to narcotics?

After calming down, he began to remember exactly what happened before he fell completely asleep.

Luke is a young man who likes to read, share information and delve into very specific topics according to his tastes.

Exploring was one of his strongest hobbies, but not in nature like the indescribable man named Bear Grylls, he liked to explore in video games or maps invented by certain community groups.

During all these years, he had never been fixed by something clear in his life. But when he discovered the harsh reality of being an adult, he had to face all these problems as millions have done, alone and not knowing what will happen tomorrow.

Yesterday, after finishing watching the Oscars, Luke remembers that he was playing a video game related to a cat exploring a certain surrounding terrain. This game was supposedly created to help an animal foundation. He can still remember that feeling of freedom, excitement and tranquility as he controlled the cat through urban terrain.

Lost, alone and separated from our family was the feeling of the character Luke controlled in the game, a simple cat. Something different, new and basic where you had to survive.

Yesterday he remembers it was the third day in a row he played.

He remembers that before he closed his eyes, he died in a cave where he encountered some sort of obstacle that he couldn't pass no matter how many times he tried.

No matter what his strategy was to get through that obstacle, he could never make it. So, with the goal of recording something unique and showing it to the rest, he began to play hour after hour, attempt after attempt. Hours of research, asking on forums if any had come across this type of proof but the answers were always the same: "How could such a bad player find such an amazing proof!"

"Where is the hidden proof?"

"Where are you in the game right now?"

"No way, I'm sure he's lying to us and that's about editing!"

The whole thing was so outrageous that even the developers themselves debunked everything linking the game to the test, and said they would take legal action for editing a game and creating such a big fuss.

So, Luke stood stunned in his room, staring at his computer screen still not believing what he was going through.

Editing such a perfect game? I, Luke, how the fuck can I edit a game if I barely know how to put together the computer I'm playing on?

Because of his experience in researching, he began to record information and create an extensive file that related to the secret room he found.

Hidden words such as: "New life after the ashes! Great changes in the world! Spirit animal! Ice Age! Human desire! Deep sleep! Gods! Demons! Mortal! Immortal!

Thinking about the concept of the game, Luke knew that one had to survive in the face of many trials and adversities before leaving the place he found himself in the game. Discovering the truth, riddles, all those cliché events that make a game unique and good.

However, it may be that studying the words in the room and doing extensive research completely exhausted Luke's patience, so when he was about to turn off the game, just as he was walking to his bed, an immense pain hit his brain and soon everything went black.

Did he die?

What happened to his brain?

Is this the afterlife?

He always came across nonsense that humans at death are reborn into an animal depending on the life they lived, a dog, cat, cricket or butterfly. Those intelligent animals, the ones that acted abnormal to the rest were supposedly reborn humans.

Maybe today he stumbled upon the truth and was reborn as a beautiful white wolf!

Luke awkwardly moved his body, walked across the soft snow and swung his hard claw.

Paw!

It hurt!

This pain was similar to hitting his little finger with a bed leg, Luke at this moment really wanted to cry.

"I really can't live like a wolf, an arctic wolf? God of my life, you can't pull a prank like that on me, my new life hasn't even started yet and I already feel like I wouldn't live more than two years in this wild world."

But no matter how much I begged, how much I cried, after half an hour nothing changed.

Everything seemed to indicate that as of today, Luke had become a little Arctic wolf.

Fortunately, Luke, who had lived through a lot of problems alone, with the time and the hard life he had had to live, developed a great adaptability and it didn't take him long to accept this new life.

But just after he got used to his identity, suddenly, a cold voice rang in his mind.

"[Ding! The host has successfully adapted and the attribute panel is about to be activated.]"

"[Ten... Nine... Eight... Three... Two... One...]"

"[The evolution panel has been successfully activated, as an initial reward for being the first time you experience this situation, you will get ten points of potential, which according to the Host you will depend on to develop your own potential]."

As soon as the whispering voice said those words to him, a translucent panel of a dark hue that only he could see appeared in front of his eyes.

[... Name: Luke Mondragon

Species: Arctic Wolf

Level: 0 <10 evolution points required to upgrade to the next level.>

Esper Energy: 0

Endurance: 1

Strength: 1

Defense: 1

Speed: 1

Evolution Points: 10...]

"Is this a panel like in RPG games?"

Seeing the attribute page that suddenly appeared in front of his eyes, Luke was surprised and as if the brightest light fell on his body, an indescribable joy flashed in his crimson eyes.

Fortunately, even if his situation is too puzzling and not at all something really scientific, he is lucky that this kind of thing happened to him.

Although he was reborn as a small arctic wolf, some sort of interactive panel appeared in front of his eyes, a sign of hope.

Not to mention that he can live to adulthood, as long as he focuses on doing everything he can to survive in the North Pole environment, it shouldn't be a problem to take on the wildlife here.

"This type of panel is an evolutionary type, which means that I can somehow earn points to add to the different features of my body. devouring, killing or growing? No matter, all the details will be deciphered in the shortest possible time..."

Luke began to analyze the various values on the properties panel.

The vitality above the attribute bar is equivalent to the life value, but there was nothing similar so Luke thought he was referring to Esper power....

If somehow that kind of numerical power is affected, once he suffers great losses he will most likely die.

Endurance is equivalent to physical strength. Strength is determined by the attack and destructive power a creature can continuously exert.

Speed is, naturally, the speed of movement and reaction.

These things are generally easy to understand.

As for evolution, it is a simple name that relates that as a potential for his body to gain certain advantages.

After going through these things, Luke felt like he was in some kind of game without a tutorial, but this helped him recover from the depression of being reborn as a wolf.

After coming out of this pensive state, he raised his little head and looked at the she-wolf who in theory should be his mother.

Suddenly, the space on the panel in front of his eyes changed a little.

[... Species: Arctic wolf <Female>

Level: 4

Esper Energy: 576

Endurance: 42

Strength: 39

Defense: 31

Speed: 36...]

It must be said that the mother wolf's attributes are much stronger than his now.

It seems that this is the general level of arctic wolves.

Luke struggled to climb onto his mother wolf's stomach and looked around the rest of the cave.

Before long, he found some arctic wolves sleeping on their stomachs in a carefree manner.

It seems that arctic wolves are fully capable of living in low temperatures.

Next to the mother wolf, the closest is the father wolf.

After looking at each wolf, Luke found that the father wolf still has the highest attributes in the cave.

In addition, it can be judged by the position in the middle of the cave of the father wolf and mother wolf, which can be exposed more to the sun.

Therefore, following the hierarchy of a pack, the father wolf would be the leader of all arctic wolves.

[... Breed: Arctic wolf (male).

Level: Level 6.

Sper: 589

Endurance: 68

Strength: 59

Defense: 57.

Speed: 60...]

This is the attribute of the father wolf.

This kind of attribute is also much better than his mother wolf's, and can be considered top-notch among the male arctic wolves inside the cave under Luke's rigorous inspection.

"Oooh."

Just as Luke was about to use his immature little paws to get out of the cave and see the outside world, his mother wolf woke up.

She looked down at the immature pup crawling up her body, let out a low growl of dissatisfaction, and pulled Luke into her arms with her snout.

It was only then that Luke realized that there was a small arctic wolf in his mother's arms, who looked younger than him, probably his wolf sister.

Now the little wolf girl is eating from her mother in front of him with gusto.

Seeing how delicious the wolf girl's food was, Luke also felt the pang of hunger quickly attack her and the attraction was unbearable.

Although her human mind rejected this kind of action, she still could not suppress her instinctive desire.

He leaned in and Luke began to eat as the wolf girl did.

"[... Eat Arctic wolf mother's milk, evolution point +0.10!"

There was no sound, nothing to indicate to him that he was getting points for this instinctive action, Luke only noticed when the dots kept increasing silently, which told him that he didn't have an assistant and this type of screen was a simple evolution panel.
