Public News Update: Future Content and Plans

Hey guys, I wanted to make this post for more than just patrons. We’re pretty new to this whole development process, and want to give you the whole picture on what to expect in the future. With the new roadmap, we hoped you guys were able to see a glimpse of what we’re trying to do, but we realized that we could do a better job in explaining what’s in the pipeline.

Future Updates and Content Plan:

Cyber Rift isn’t just going to be a few updates over time, we are actually planning a total of about 14 planets for the game. Each of these planets will have their own unique theme and feel, and we will be getting patron feedback to decide how we approach quests and locations. The first few updates will purely be focused on establishing the main characters, and also giving views on some of the planets and locations that we want to feature more in the future. You may feel that the initial content may be sparse, but we don’t want it ever to feel like more isn’t coming! Jukarya for example won’t just be a planet that you find Everie and never need to come back, and Junky will be hosting his own set of adventures on the forgotten junkheap of a planet.

The High Stakes and Way of the Dragon Updates:

Today I’m excited to share a bit more news on what to expect in this update. This update will take place in an Art Deco styled casino named “Fortuna” and will feature the ruthless crimelord Ruby of the 6 Dragons Syndicate. Though advertised as the perfect place to gamble and have fun, this station hides far more below the fun facade. Featuring a brand new minigame, you will be able to grind for things like posters and other fun trinkets for your room in the Casino Gift Shop. This Gift Shop won’t only be for this update, and as the game progresses feel free to check back and see all the new prizes they add! Whether you play for fame, girls, or even fortune, the High Stakes Update will feature some exciting times for Patrons to experience!

Though early in development and still in the concept phase, the Way of the Dragon update will take place on a brand new planet inspired by Ancient China. Main quest will be about a feudal style Chinese kingdom constantly being attacked by a powerful dragon. You will have to search far and wide to find an ancient sword to slay the beast, and learn how to defend your new found friends. Will you fight for money, power, or love? Or maybe even something in between.
