Supporter Newsletter - January

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Happy New Year to everyone and I hope you all had a great December. It's time that we all bring in the new year together as Requiem is only going to continue growing to do more fun things. With the new year we will be working on all sorts of things, which some I will mention here, as we look forward to a great 2022 for all of our members.

December was a bit of slower month while also being packed full with things to do for all of you. From events, to giveaways, to our Charity Event. Even with the Holidays slowing things down a bit for everyone, we still had tons of fun through the month. The development of new and upcoming things came to a pause for a little while but now that we are in the new year, everyone is refreshed and ready to go.

This year there are so many different things I have planned for our community and I can't wait to share them all. We're currently working on pushing out more content across all social media which also means bringing on new Partner Creators to also share their content with all of you. We'll also look into hosting our very own Sea of Thieves Tournament Gauntlet this year at some point but I don't have much to share on that yet. 2021 was a huge year for Requiem and I don't know how we'll do it but 2022 will be even bigger!

I wanted to mention before jumping into our expenses that I will be working hard this month on creating a better way of sharing this information with all of you. I feel I could come up with something to help display where money is going towards.

Okay, let's jump into our expenses for the month of December. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for December has gone towards Staff Benefits (%37) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%7) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Events/Giveaways (36%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

Ending things off for this newsletter as always I want to thank you all. 2021 was an amazing year to spend within the community despite the craziness going on throughout the world. With the troubles of life or when things would get hard, I could always count on all of you to get me through. Requiem has become a big part of many peoples lives and it's just a honor to be part of it. Here's to an awesome new year!

Going forward, all monthly newsletter information will be here and our monthly public community newsletter will be quarterly while the Supporter Newsletter remains monthly.

Hey there, Plucky here! Happy New Year, everyone! As we welcome in 2022, we are excited for what the year holds.  December was a magical month where we hosted our Season's Greetings event and saw numerous festive events and competitions throughout the month - we even saw Santa and his elves in our FiveM and Minecraft servers! To celebrate the New Year, we teamed up with Ghost Studios to make an awesome firework display at the Shores of Gold to celebrate a fantastic year on the Sea of Thieves - Big shout-out to everyone who made this possible. During December we also hosted our 4th Charity Stream for 2020, where we raised $1300 for #TeamSeas. Expect even more frequent Charity Stream in the future as we continue to support awesome causes and charities.

The team and I are well rested from the holidays, and looking forward to the year, we are ready to make 2022 an even more awesome year than the year prior! From adding new events and experiences across all of our game sections to having more regular monthly competitions. We will continue to focus on community feedback, and ensure that new events are added to the pipeline!

As always, keep an eye on the Events tab so you don’t miss any upcoming events!

Ahoy fellow pirates!

The last year was a tough one for a lot of people and whilst the world outside your living rooms has been running from lockdown to lockdown, over 24.000 pirates found a safe haven for their little escapes here at Requiem. And I'm surely not the only one who had awesome crewmates turn into great friends along the way.

2021 had a boatload of new stuff for Sea of Thieves from the introduction of the new seasonal updates, an intermezzo with Jack Sparrow and his crew to us conquering the mermaid shrines and treasuries as well as burying our loot for other buccaneers to dig up. Even though not everyone likes the attention ocean crawlers, phantoms and sirens give you there's no denying that the game is a lot more lively than it was a year ago. My favorite is the fort of fortune, always appearing in the sky when the crew decided to call it a night. But we went for it anyway. And who would've thought we could sit in the captain's chair at last? I am excited to see which ace Rare has in their sleeve for the next months.

I hope you all have a great year and may you always have wind in your sails and bananas in the barrels, you deserved it! And I'm looking forward to setting sail with you in 2022 and seeing you around on the seas.

Cheerio, Jones.
