Supporter Newsletter - August

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Again, sorry for the delay this month on getting out our newsletter. Unfortunately, I had a loss in my family and with that my work has been keeping me slammed. Too much going on at once that I haven't had a moment to sit down and actually write this all out.

I sincerely hope you all have been having an amazing month and had a great month of July. Sadly, we're getting closer to the end of summer and I know many of you who are still in school are going back. I know things have felt very chaotic for me personally but Requiem is always that anchor I need when my day is getting tough. Requiem has seen some great times recently especially with all of the new Moderators we've brought onto the team. I really can't wait to see where we take this crazy train next!

It's also awesome to now see the new Captaincy update in Sea of Thieves. I haven't had a chance to really play much but did make sure to jump in and purchase my ships. It feels like there's just so much more life coming into the game with this new update and actually being able to feel a bit more attached to your ship. Tracking your deeds and having a new way to show off cosmetics also helps to clear out your pockets of all of that extra gold and doubloons. I wonder what they'll bring us next!?

Let's jump into our expenses. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent has gone towards Staff Benefits (%28) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%9) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Events/Giveaways (33%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

Requiem is constantly growing and evolving. We continue to exceed even my highest goals in what I thought this community could accomplish. I don't know how many people read these newsletters regularly but I really just want to thank you all for being here with us in such an amazing community. You're all the best and I couldn't ask for a better community to be part of.

Happy August! My name is Penny and I’m the Community Manager for Requiem. It has been a busy time as we have brought on many new faces to our upper staff team. Throughout this month I will continue the search for more team members while making sure all of our new moderators have everything they need during their training. I’ll continue business as usual with my normal duties and picking up things in areas that need some extra help. We are slowly creeping up on the best part of the year where we get to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more and I am so excited. Here for all of you always, my DMs are always open.
