Supporter Newsletter - February

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! I hope you've all been having a great year so far. The time already seems like it's flying by so quickly for 2023. Although, 2022 felt exactly the same with all of the fun we had. Requiem has gone through so much change for the better and has truly transformed our community into something greater than I could have ever expected.

Now that we are a month into the new year, it's time to really hit the ground running with all things Requiem. There are so many big plans for our community as a whole. From expanding into new games to overall broadening our community as we know it already. There are no limits to what we can do here and the places we can go. We're dreaming big and no one can stop us now!

Speaking of change, I do want to give you all a brief update on some new changes coming to our Discord server. First off, we all know that Sea of Thieves is the core and foundation of Requiem. That being said, we want to feed that foundation even further so we will be completely overhauling our Discord server and how things look. The sections and channels will become a lot more streamlined for everyone to see what you need to and get to where you're going faster. Sea of Thieves will become the true foundation in our Discord server.

Jumping into expenses for the previous month please be aware that I am only speaking on all money spent within Requiem. This does not include any out of pocket costs and/or anything we did not spend for the month.

- Server Hosting & Design Work (17%)
  - VPS, Dedicated Machines Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc.

None of the above is limited to what has been mentioned. There could easily be something I missed on the list but may be roping those expenses in.

Hello, my favorite people!   

It’s that time again here on Requiem…  

I’m ElevatedMinds, Experience Director and Sea Of Thieves Lead for Requiem.  

As you may have noticed from our last publication, I’ve taken on some more responsibilities around Requiem, including an Administrator role. These new and exciting responsibilities allow me to help ensure that every member and all of our staff have a wonderful experience here on Requiem.  As supporters, we know you are heavily vested in our community and the direction that it is heading. You are the ones steering this ship along with our community and staff. Feel free to reach out to me directly at any time if you feel you have some suggestions or improvements or even simply want to say “Hi!”. My door is always open.  

Speaking of experiences, we have many new and exciting changes around Requiem that have been occurring, new staff, promotions, and new leads in different departments. With all these changes, I’m sure we’ll see some great and exciting things happening around Requiem. Expect to see some new events, creative promotions, and social media engagement giveaways heading into the next weeks and months, and as always, if you’d like to be a part of these exciting changes, head on over to our applications section and fill out an application for whatever team floats your boat.  

Onto our primary focus, Sea of Thieves, it’s been a great time on the seas lately and we’ve seen some really interesting adventures and content added. What have been some of your favorite things to do this past month? We’d love to hear all about it in our Sea of Thieves chats. Come and drop us a line. Season 8 has been a really interesting addition to the mighty Sea of Thieves and we are working hard to focus on events that revolve around this content. Get your swords. Load your guns. Grab some cannonballs and let us know your ideas for Season 8 contests in our Suggestions channel. Every suggestion is read, discussed, and thoroughly reviewed by our staff. Did you get an Obsidian six-pack before they disappeared? Have you picked up any new, cool cosmetics? We’d love to see it in our Sea Of Thieves Screenshots chats.  

All in all, its been a great month here on Requiem and we are all excited to work with you and provide you the community you’ve all come to expect here on Requiem. Don’t be a stranger. Make the day yours. You got this.

Moderator - Plucky

Hello there, Supporters, Plucky here! It is incredible that we are already one month into 2023, because I still find myself accidentally typing "2022" on documents.  

For the past year and a half, I have served as the Event Manager for Requiem. It has been an absolute pleasure and honor to be able to create and coordinate so many thrilling events over my time in the position. I have now passed the Event mantle to fellow Moderator, MeowMeow, who is eager and ready to take Requiem events to the next level. I can't wait to see where our events go in the near future!  

I am very excited to be transitioning into my new role as the new Creative Manager, where I will be working hard to spark creativity and artistic talent throughout the community, while also maintaining Requiem's brand identity!  I am excited for this new chapter in my adventure with Requiem, and being able to lead the Creative Team forward! We already have numerous projects in the work for 2023, and we only just beginning - the spark for creativity in our community never dims. The team is well at work, but we need your talent and creativity on the team for us to tackle projects even more effectively and efficiently.
