Psycho (1960) CLASSIC MOVIE REACTION! | FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Comments

I saw Psycho when I was 12 and it still remains one of my best films

You two really should consider reacting to a TV series, like Bates Motel! Consider it!

Yes! I totally agree. Psycho 2 fits in with the early 80s slasher tropes, but it is very entertaining.

Psycho still send chills down my spine, especially that final scene, it's ages extremely well unlike some of my favourites from the 80s. You guys should watch Psycho 2, even though 1 innovated, the 2nd is entertaining.

Hitchcock never made any other straightforward horror movies, but I'd love to see your reaction to Vertigo. It's got amazing music and acting and atmosphere, and it's a film that stays with you like Psycho does.

Psycho II is also worth a watch. The classic gets all the love but, as horror sequels go, Psycho II is right up there.

A good old MacGuffin.

I agree with you the explanations at the end is bit boring now.

Two French Bears React

Robert Bloch the writer of Psycho was inspired by Eg Gein's murders. As Texas Chainsaw Massacre and later Silence Of The Lamb.

One last thing. Damn Tom (nice score!). The first time I saw this my mom kept saying "Pay close attention...." in that annoying way, only mothers can do. And I was the 'know-it-all' kid who replied "What is there to pay attention to? It's obviously the mother...." And to answer your question..Hitchcock is knows as "The Master of Suspense' --any one you choose to watch is amazing. I do love 'The Birds', and 'Rear Window'.

Was that Jeff Goldblum on Norman's hand at the end? ;-) To think that the film is now 60 years old.

The mention of Scooby-Doo has me wanting a reaction to the two live action movies. It's better than it has a right to be. They're written by James Gunn (of Guardians of the Galaxy fame), the first one being shot as an R-rated comedy but later edited down. Also stars Matthew Lillard from Scream as Shaggy, who did so well in these movies that he got the voice acting gig for the cartoons too. Linda Cardellini plays Velma, Freddie Prinze Jr. plays Fred, and Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Daphne. These aren't *great* movies, but a lot of fun can still be had from them

This was the first film ever to show a flushing toilet. Crazy!
