Rare Exports (2010) CHRISTMAS MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Wow you guys seem to have such an issue with tone and genre haha! It's like unless things follow your expectations or the tropes or outcomes you are familiar with you freak out lol! The Finnish sensibility comes across big time in the mood and humour and I don't know if you either just didn't get it or maybe it just wasn't funny to you. The ending is simply a play on/reveal on the meaning of the title and around the weirdness of the classical department store Santa. 'What is this film?' is becoming your catchphrase! I think you guys need to broaden your viewing to watch much more art-house or alternative / independent films, or certainly some European dark comedy/horror cinema. I'm glad you watched it, but I really wonder if it's a generational thing and younger people now just can't handle things that don't come either with a signposted explanation throughout or at the end, or which blend styles and tones in unconventional ways! Soo many times you struggle with films that cover two or more genres and become hung-up about rather than appreciate it! :) I dread to think what you'll make of 2001: A Space Odyssey! It will leave you scratching your heads haha!

I had never heard of this film before Cinema Rules, so I am glad that I have been exposed to it.

This just got recommended to me recently! I'm excited to duck back and check out your react after I peep it!

I really love this. I think it's quite brilliant and absurd in the best way possible.

It's probably just me, but the actor that plays Aimo kind of looks like a Finnish Chris Hemsworth.
