I really agree. That's the main reason I'm very excited about The Acolyte show

Questions for your next podcast. Non-cinema related question: (This is mainly directed at Tom but Shaun can chime in as well.) I've noticed the plethora of books behind Tom and can only assume he's quite a bookworm. Have you read The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson or The Three-Body Problem trilogy by Liu Cixin? If so, what are your thoughts on them? If not, I highly recommend them! Cinema related question: If you guys ever decide to watch and react to anime films like Studio Ghibli films or Satoshi Kon's filmography, would you watch them in English dub or the original Japanese dub?

One thing I hate about how they've tried to develop Star Wars is how they've tried to make everything connected. It makes this vast galaxy feel so much smaller and 'on rails' when every storyline or character is somehow linked or leading into an event or character in one of the main movies. It's so tenuous and weakens the new content. The Mandalorian season one felt exciting at first because it felt relatively standalone and unrelated to the movies and therefore felt like we were seeing something fresh and truly original in the same universe. As soon as they try to fill the gaps between movies with whole other movies or series about very little, it becomes stretched too thinly. Rogue One was okay, but Solo took some throwaway lines of dialogue in the original trilogy and tried to create a screenplay around them. Disney are treating the movies and series like Cadbury approaches branding its endless new range of Dairy Milk varieties, all of which weaken the central brand.

Thank you Mike, been fun seeing you in the comments! Hope you had a good Christmas

Great, thanks for the other people that also support you on other tiers. I stop my support here. I really thought that this was a great film channel, but obviously my funds matter.

Wuheeey!! always wondered what your username was! well welcome to this tier dude, hope you enjoy 😊

Holy crap! I just upgraded my tier today because I wanted to listen to your podcasts and I was not expecting you to bring up and answer my Twitch question again! Although you already answered my question in Mr. 743Gaming's Twitch stream, I appreciate the more in-depth response (and having Tom's insight into the question as well). 😊 I hope to stay on this tier as long as I have enough money in my bank account 😂 but other than that, I can't wait for more content!!! P.S. Now you know who "jjsnippy" is...

Question for your next podcast. Who are some of your favorite villians in movies? I love Alan Rickman in Die Hard. He was also great as the sheriff of nottingham in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Another favorite viilain is Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds. Such a great performance.
