The Mist (2007) HORRIFYING MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Comments

I forgot how much I like this movie. Another supernatural horror Stephen King adaptation you should check out is Carrie from 1976. It was a must see back in the day. I enjoyed this reaction. Poor Tom looked horrified. Thanks for sharing.

That was my same facial expression when I saw the spiders crawling out of that man lol

The music when they try to escape is The Host of Seraphim by the famous 80s band : Dead can dance. Huge track of the 80s. Great Reaction !

With one of THE best casts, a hallmark of Carpenter films, and the first (and IIRC, the ONLY film) to feature Jamie Lee Curtis working with her mother, Janet Leigh! But also Tom Atkins, Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau (ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, CREEPSHOW) and Nancy Loomis (HALLOWEEN).

The original story left the ending kind of ambiguous, while Darabont came up with THIS ending, which even King said he loved even more than the original. Marcia Gay Harden SHOULD have gotten an Oscar nomination for Mrs. Carmody. King knows how to write female villains, and the only one I've seen worse than Mrs. Carmody is the OTHER religious zealot, Carrie White's mum, Margaret.

John Carpenter's The Fog (not the remake with Tom Welling) is a much earlier film about mysterious things coming out of a fog/mist but is a classic horror rather than a science fiction. It's worth watching if you enjoyed this, although it's much more simple and of course doesn't have such fancy special effects or modern film-making techniques. Glad you enjoyed The Mist. The ending is a real gut punch!

Loved the reaction guys. Tom's reactions are just priceless😂. I heard that the studio wanted to change the ending to not make it so depressing, but I'm glad Frank Darabont stuck to the original ending.

At one point I told Tom, "fix your hair" lol, because he's always fixing it and he waited a little while.

To me the movie is very depressing, especially with the ending. I'm more affected by this type of stuff now so I usually don't watch it anymore. I've never seen any of the Saw movies because it's just torture porn from what people have said. Another "mist" movie is The Fog from John Carpenter in 1980, a ghost story. I still watch it occasionally, sentimental reasons (I turned 5 in 1980...don't remember if I saw it in the theater but I probably saw it at a young age). John also did the soundtrack music for it.

It was originally a novella on its own and later included in Skeleton Crew, I looked it up when they called it "book" lol. I used to be a big Stephen King fan, collected lots of his books and tried to see all the movies, tv shows. I got to do an English paper on him for a big grade in school.

Brilliant reaction. Love Tom's emotion. Have you thought about picking a load of Stephen King adaptations you havent seen and doing a series of reactions to them?? There are some amazing movies and some terrible ones as well!!

Was not expecting a review of this one, its such a horrifying movie. You ought to read the book its not a long read but its a good one... I believe its a story in part of Stephen Kings Skeleton Crew Novel.
