Jfk was killed in November 1963. The same day doctor who premiered. Doctor who nearly died after the first season as nobody watched it due to the assassination but they aired the first episode just before the second one the following week and in that master stroke of an idea doctor who was saved and nearly sixty years later doctor who is still on air. No thanks to another genius idea of regeneration in 1966. I think doctor who would be a good thing to react to if you like sci-fi. Probably nu-who before classic that is what everyone does.
