A Christmas Story (1983) MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Comments

As someone else mentioned, this movie tanked in theaters when it came out. But almost immediately, it started playing on cable tv on a loop, to the point where it became a classic. Fun fact: the actor who played Ralphie is good friends with Jon Favreau, and was a producer on Iron Man. He also has a small role in that movie, as the Stark Industries scientist who Obidiah Stane yells out the famous "Tony Stark built this in a cave! With a bunch of scraps!" line. He played that role again in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Great reaction...and cool sweaters BTW! I always got a few laughs from this movie but I could never quite understand how it warranted 24 hour TV showings for many years....the Old Man was played by Darren McGavin who starred in one of my all time favorite TV shows "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" about a dogged investigative reporter who battled various supernatural/extraterrestrial entities(the show was spun off from 2 very well received made for TV movies)...it might make a cool retro TV show for you guys to check out...Merry Christmas to you both!
