Seven (1995) MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Hello and Welcome back to Cinema Rules! Don't ask why I haven't seen this film up until now, I know I'm even annoyed at myself for not seeing it sooner, but I'm glad I took the time out to experience this incredible piece of cinema.

David Fincher is also the director and showrunner of Mindhunter, a tv series on Netflix. Maybe you would like it too. It's about the founding of the Behavioral Science Unit in the FBI in the late 70s. If you want more serial killers and frightening real stories. ^^

Two French Bears React

This is pretty dark and brutal film to watch but it is undeniably one of the best movies ever made.

Todd Bradford

Definitely agree with the rating...great direction and cinematography, great performances from the lead actors...an amazing film that leaves you depressed yet awestruck

Paul Johnson

This may be my favorite film. Can’t wait to watch your reaction

Mark Pingitore

Absolutely one of my all time favorite films!

Edwina

Yeah one of my favourite films too, the ending I never saw coming

S Elphick

I would rate it a 9.6 too.

Tara M. Wilcoxon

So, to me, this is one of the best films ever made. I get something more from it every time I see it or think about it. One symbolic meaning you didn’t mention is that God undertook the work to create the world in 7 days. On the 7th day he rested, and he blessed it as holy. John Doe undertook to make a statement about the world, and on the 7th day, he rested from his “work”- he turned himself in and let what he put in motion play out. But when he rested, he rested to face judgment for the flaws of his work, his sins, and the unholiness of what he had done. He was thus punished, but as you said, he still succeeded, and of course Morgan Freeman states that he doesn’t believe, in contradiction to Walt Whitman, that the world is a fine place. It’s just…it’s a thinker. I would have given it a 9.8, not because of its excitement value, but because of the atmosphere, because of the depth of thought of the film…yeah. I love this one, glad you watched it.

Hell yeah, great film. You should check out Zodiac if you haven't seen it already.
