Great news. But guys I'm going to have to leave your patron for a while. Things are getting really tough financially at the moment and it's something I just can't keep up. Hopefully when things are better I'll be back. Keep up the great content though πŸ‘

Please consider the horror/scifi/actioner "The Hidden"(1987)...it really is a hidden gem

That’s great news! Will the polls also return? 😬

Tom will be returning full force very soon 😊

So glad to see this film getting some of the attention it deserves! Fan obsession, or in its milder formβ€” wanting to be a part of the media that takes up so much of our mental space, or wanting to have a direct connection to the media personalities we imagine we knowβ€” this has all blossomed in todays social media. This very comment for example. Today we are all Rupert Pupkin.

Daniel Siegel

Other brilliant lesser known Scorsese films Kundun, Silence, Last Temptation of Christ and After Hours.

Also don't overlook Jerry Lewis and Sandra Bernhardt's performances, yes Deniro is brilliant but the other performances are top tier as well.

How has this escaped me? Never heard of it, tbh. I think I’d really enjoy it, especially since I love Taxi Driver and The Joker. You should have ended the reaction with your Mom shouting β€œDinner’s ready, Hon!” from downstairs! ;-)

"I thought I'VE had bad dates!" You're the best, Shaun. I'd never seen this until now, but I do remember when it was released. It was a major flop, partly because the marketing tried to push it as a flat-out comedy, with maybe a slightly sad tone. Instead, it's another masterclass in acting and directing which requires focus and attention from the viewer. I also think that a movie filled with so many cringe-inducing moments was rare and misunderstood forty years ago, while today's audience almost expect them in any film that is intended to challenge their sensibilities. Also, I do hope that Tom will soon recover from his bath-inspired obsessive episodes about you, and again feel comfortable enough to sit beside you on the sofa without crossing any creepy boundaries. We should pity him, not judge him.
