I think modern media feels much more relateable than early representation in film and media because there is so much involvement from people within our community that it feels genuine and relateable. We've moved away from a fixed stereotype to showing that there is no right or wrong way to be you that you can literally be anyone and that your sexuality or gender identity does not define who you are or how you're meant to be you.

I enjoyed it more than the OG version but I still prefer Skam France. In saying that the storyline is completely different. I definitely enjoyed it. Thank you for reacting to this. Can't wait to see your reaction to Skam France in the future. You mentioned about the passion in the intimate scene in this one and RW&RB. I personally believe Skam France takes this to a whole new level. The filming, writing and acting is phenomenal. I find it has alot more dialogue aswell. Again this is all just my opinion 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️❤️

2023-11-26 06:30:13 +0000 UTCI really love Druck (and I really like Amira's season, s4); I had the same reaction as you did (wanting to watch all the seasons) but with WTFock, and not because I loved what that remake did (some good and some very not good) with their versions of Isak and Even, but specifically because of the changes they made to other characters (especially the roomates in the apartment; best roommates in all of Skam-verse are in WTFock; season 2 of WTFock is a huge improvement over all others that I've seen!). So, I fully support you watching all the Druck you would like.

2023-11-15 18:03:19 +0000 UTCS6 & S7 please! i love them so much (there are people who think the writing isn't as good as for earlier seasons, and i'm sure there's ways in which they aren't but i actually watched them without knowing details of how the show/the writers changed over time, just saw them as shows onto themselves and they're so well done, they're both very queer and the representation is so important in them too (and david is back in s7)!! confession i actually watched s7 first, and that's what convinced me to give druck a chance - initially i didn't want to see skam remakes, i was worried it was gonna be the same story or that it wouldn't live up to how good the og show was...

There are a few episodes with David and Matteo in season four but the bulk are the first and last episodes (they do a gap year/road trip of sorts that is primarily chronicled through the social media aspect the had alongside the show). I’m personally down to watch all the season of Druck it you react to them. I love the whole series

But also season two is very good, and also season 1 and four. At the end of season four there is some beautiful material with all of the cast. I would definitely love to see you react to more Druck and I would contiue my Patreon membership because of it (I’m mainly here for Druck but you are a great reactor so deponering on the shows coming up I might carry on being a Patreon for a lot longer! :)

I think they probably did let Lucas have input into his character but I don't know how much. Michelangelo (Matteo) has said that the writers worked with the cast throughout the seasons around the languageso that it was authentic. so I would imagine that they would have asked for input into actual experiences as well.

2023-11-12 23:08:45 +0000 UTCI’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – this is the only remake of Skam that gets everything right, in part by being so different from the original. And it’s the only one that nails that ending, which I think is one of the best things about the original. Having seen the first two seasons of both the OG and Druck, I’d say the first season of both are very similar to each other. And then I think Druck does better with its second season. I tried watching the fourth season of Druck and didn’t find it as compelling as the fourth season of Skam, so I never got past a couple of episodes. I do assume that Matteo and David or a part of season four, since Isak and Even are definitely not part of season four of Skam (which is my second favorite season after season 3, and which I highly recommend). I will certainly watch if you go back to the first couple of seasons of either Skam or Druck. I’d even watch you react to the third season of Skam France, which has some redeeming qualities and a few big missteps, or WTFock, though I think it’s pretty bad.
