While the world of Remnant is comprised mostly of rock and metal, much of that rock and metal is not in a solid form, but a liquid. Most people are familiar with that liquid as the burning blood that comes out of volcanoes, and the name they give it is lava or magma. Only recently have humans been able to fuse the magical Dust of fire and rock to create a substance that will enable them to wield magma as they wield water.

Magma Dust is usually solid. Since its creation was fairly recent, it is being manufactured far more than it is found and mined. It is naturally very battle-oriented much like Fire Dust, but within that forte, it shows great versatility as well as raw destructive power. Huntsmen and other people who claim to be defenders of humanity, often revere from using such a brutal method of delivering death, but those who do, certainly find results.

Despite originating from a merging between Fire and Earth Dust, Magma Dust operates quite similarly to Water Dust, by unleashing a splash of hot lava that spreads and burns anything it touches - And thanks to convection, also most of what doesn't. Injecting in into an animal's body will cause their body to become superheated and cause anything that comes near them to melt. It will also make them considerably stronger, faster and more flexible, and give them the ability to spit out jets and waves of lava from their mouths, but it also gives the risk of the user's body melting into lava from the inside out.

The lava produced by Lava Dust is even hotter than the fire generated by Fire Dust - so hot, in fact, that touching the lava is hardly necessary; even being near it can be enough to burn enemies to a crisp. It can be shaped similar to Water Dust, to create tidal waves of lava, cause eruptions of magma from the ground, transform the ground into a sheet of lava, form a rotating shuriken or disc of magma, exploding bubbles and blobs of lava, create large streams of lava, erupt spikes of lava from the ground, create large gauntlets or flying fists of lava, rings of lava, create semi-solid weapons from magma, or form lava into a dog or dragon's head.

Much like other Dust types, Magma Dust can embody both creation and destruction, two concepts that still mean the same. It is outshined by its considerably less efficient parent, Flame Dust, and rarely gets the recognition it deserves. Maybe because it is merely a fusion-type and not its own type, it is not held on a high regard by many. One of the many things those men and women do not understand, is the value of such an act, the act of combining two things into one whole, that is larger than the sum of its parts.
