Foregone Fables Dust Guide - Gravity

Dust is a magical material made to allow humanity to wield and control nature and its elements, the same purpose behind the Four Seasonal Maidens and other similar sources of magic. However, humanity enjoys outdoing itself, and so they did by creating a type of Dust which goes beyond the elements, to the fundamental physical forces that move them in the universe.
Gravity Dust, also known as Magnet Dust, Kinetic Dust, and Force Dust, is usually in crystal form. Despite not being the oldest type of Dust out there, it has existed for long enough to be very present in nature, with several instances of it causing islands to float being present in multiple places in Remnant, especially near Mistral.
Gravity Dust is relatively easy to trigger, and when it does, it releases a powerful burst of kinetic force in all directions. When fired as a projectile, it can hit its target with a highly enhanced force, sometimes also creating an explosive shockwave on impact, but also risks creating a stronger recoil that may damage the user. Infusing it into a human or another animal's flesh will cause them to visibly twitch and vibrate, giving them enhanced speed and strength while also enabling them to fly as well as telekinetically pull objects into them or release powerful bursts of force. However, this puts the user at the risk of being torn apart from the inside by sheer kinetic force.
However, the real power of Gravity Dust is the ability to control kinetic force and gravity. Its uses are versatile and can accomplish abilities similar to telekinesis used by practitioners of Ancient Magic. Other than to augment the strength and speed of a user and their weapons, one basic usage of Gravity Dust is to change the direction of gravity, causing all objects in a specific area, or specific select objects, to align into a wall or ceiling rather than the ground.
Another use is to change the gravity applied to a specific object or objects to change their weight and speed, cause them to float, move them at will, and revert the function to make them rain down at enemies - some people use it in strength training to intentionally increase the gravity applied to themselves, or can similarly use the enhanced gravity as a restraint, which can also be used in reverse to decrease the effect of gravity on a user to make them swifter without losing strength. It can also be used to force objects into orbiting around a specific target, cause specific things to be repelled from a target to nullify damage, turn an object inside out, magnetize objects unto each other, summon powerful explosions, attract all objects in range into a specific point or a selected target, cause ordinary projectiles to home on a target, immobilize an individual or pin them to the ground, subtly manipulate a person or weapon's movements, change the course of a river, creating a downward push that crushes everything in a given area like a giant invisible footstomp, summoning meteors to fall from the sky, creating an invisible barrier that pushes physical objects away, and greatly increasing the speed and power of weapons and attacks.
The kinetic force generated by Magnetic Dust can also be utilized for pure destructive power, such as to release powerful linear shockwaves, summon floods, tsunamis and earthquakes, create an advancing wave of vibration or powerful slash projections, create whirlwinds and thin sharp shockwaves, torture a human by sending painful ripples throughout their body, and tilt entire islands.
Much like other lesser known types of Dust, Kinetic Dust has extreme power, but is rarely held on a high regard. Many people, especially in Mistral, only have a general awareness of islands that float, and simply accept this as a fact of life without putting thought into the process that causes this to happen. Considering the immense versatility and destructive power Gravity Dust provides, it may be for the best that only a select few are aware of it.
