Foregone Fables Dust Alloys Guide - Steam

However, much of the world's research and development communities have a knowledge of something with much potential: Ways to fuse different types of Dust together to create powerful alloy-type Dust with effects of new elements.
This knowledge has existed for some time, and alloy-type Dust also exists in the world as seemingly natural. Alloy-type Dust is made from the combination of two Dust types and has the power of an element that combines them. Most combinations of Dust, however cannot create an alloy, as the elements must be compatible for a fusion. Such are the elements of fire and water, who together form evaporated water, or steam.
Steam Dust or Smoke Dust is mostly found in nature as crystals or powder. Like Water Dust, its most common usage is in the industries and manufactures rather than in the battlefield, but those who use it in weaponry often display great versatility and power.
Triggering Steam Dust releases omnidirectional blasts of hot steam, vapor or smoke. Depending on the amount of energy used to trigger the Dust, its burnout can be instant or slow and steady. The produced steam is rarely useful when not directed. Infusing Steam Dust with one's body increases the user's speed and natural healing dramatically, but reduces their strength. It allows the user to fly and release streams of vapor from their hands or mouth, and gives them limited heat resistance, but can also cause them to asphyxiate as well as gain internal burns.
More controlled usages of Vapor Dust can greatly augment the strength of physical attacks due to the pressure the steam produces, create direct streams of steam or smoke, as well as mist, clouds and fog, that can be used to blur the vision. It can also create jets that can strike opponents, create tendrils of steam, explosive vapor spheres, whirlwinds of steam, sharp smoke slashes, and even mirages and figures from mist, and can heat up the vapor to cause burns, and even suffocate multiple enemies in the steam. It is also possible to control the density of the steam, making it thick and solid like mud to trap enemies, or strike them with dense and hard streams of steam in the shape of punches or weapons, and even create solid minions or weapons and armor out of smoke. In conjunction with Frost Dust, another alloy-type, the mist can instantly freeze others within it.
Like most alloy-type Dust, Vapor Dust is held on a lower regard than many regular Dust types. Not many care or pay attention to it, not to mention, it is not as powerful as Fire Dust or even Water Dust. Its usage is less oriented in battle, and more on the industry. However, Fog Dust has a strong affinity with stealth, intimidation and acting. After all, mist alone can't normally kill a human, but any creatures that might be hiding within it can.
