I did decide to write the new installment of Strange Tales of the Deadslayer for September's independent monthly short and the entire thing is currently finished, only needing some little touchups and small edits to be ready to go.
Keep an eye on this page over the coming days -- if my schedule permits I'll be getting back to business on the 1st of September with the new Deadslayer chapter (which is cool as FUCK) and the new poll for the second short.
