Big Commission Changes (infodump)

So as I've been mentioning for the past week or so, some changes have been underway -- and now, at last, they're here. I took some time away to think on everything (and visited the Renaissance Festival, which was a blast!) and have now solidified the alterations to Patreon and my commission schedule. Everything will take a spicy second to actually go into effect, obviously, but the process has begun. So, let's go over the changes!

No More Master Tier: While I enjoyed having the Master of the Dark Song tier, it wasn't working out. While it sucks that most things eventually boil down to money, I'm going to be transparent and say that the tier just wasn't well planned out. The CYOA stories consisted of about 4,000 words per month (around the length of a whole-ass commission) and netted me around an extra $40, MINUS Patreon's cut. I should have designed it differently in the first place, and I shouldn't have kept it around as long as I did. It's now... say, under construction. I do want the master's journeys to return, but until I figure out where and how, they need to go on ice.

Commissions A La Carte: This is the bigg boi, and something I would like to start leaning into provided everything works out. Easier both on the pocketbooks of clients and on my own creative freedom, this is an attempt to create a type of all-new experimental commission. Complete details on it (and my other commission stuff) can all be found in this master post. I urge you to all check it out. :)

A La Carte Comms can fill the first Patreon story slot: Since the whole point of these new commissions is that they are almost entirely of my devise and can even be set in original universes, I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to double as the freeform monthly short. Is this an attempt to get paid for the same thing twice? Yes, yes it is. But it also isn't hurting anyone, so I see it as a win/win for everyone -- for the client, who gets something they really want; for me, who gets some extra dosh; and for the patrons, who basically get the same type of content they would have been getting anyway. ^_^

Monthly polls will basically stay the same: Yup, these are gonna stay as they are -- fully democratic unless they're A) Replaced by Dungeonrunners, or B) I'm in some kind of financial crisis for some reason. Which is how they were anyway, so.

Master's Journeys won't exist for the moment: Unless otherwise commissioned, these won't be coming out for the foreseeable future, so that I can focus on rolling out more full-length stories.

Darksong High/Dungeons and Dickgirls will remain untouched: They've been through enough already. Speaking of which, I need to get back to work on Darksong High #3!
