She's a fine side character and I certainly think she fits into the story well, but I'm not here to read a story about a woman with a pheonix bloodline, I'm here to read a story about Jiang Li. I don't mind the idea of having several MCs in book 2, but I would like more of a focus on Jiang Li - it feels like you've started writing a completely different genre.
