I’m going to respond to all of them with this one reply here. I disagree when you say that he is not going to be better based off of merit. I’m assuming you’re referring to the ‘steroid’ with this. I have admitted in many authors notes and writings that the steroids are a plot device from me. They will help him recover, but they will not help him advance very much further than what would have happened naturally during the two years. In fact, at the end of the chapter I mentioned how he is now off of the steroids by the time his evaluation rolls around. With that being said, most of his value as a ninja doesn’t come from physicality. It is a major part of it, as it is with every ninja, but it is not what defines him like someone say Guy or A (Kage of hidden cloud village.) Nearly all of his value has come from his work with ninjutsu and mainly fuinjutsu to be honest. You will see in the next chapter how I show this, but I’ll try not to give major spoilers. I don’t think his character is sacrificed, because I know what is to come and I’ll do my best to convey that. I won’t be reversing anything to be honest. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I’ve ultimately liked how I handled the time skip. It was my way of reminding Naruto not to get complacent, and that what he thinks might be the highest level of power, might just be too weak to get the job done. It also served a purpose of skipping the time skip. That loss of 2 years is what I’m going to try and use as motivation for Naruto. We’ll see if I pull it off
