This is one of the best videos you've done and that's saying something! The retro was perfect and infused everything. I really loved the tinny voice over and the overexposed edges on the film... you really controlled every detail perfectly. And Duke's double light saber!

Totally. Big fan of the J37 tape emulator. Most of the pitch shifting is riding the WOW rate and depth, so it's gradually rising up and down. But in terms of the bad music edits, that's just good old fashion 80's trailer tomfoolery. Look no further than the actual trailer for ROTJ for inspiration.

Did you guys intentionally jack with the pitch of a lot of this? Like, beyond the VHS-esque effect? Because a lot of the music sounds higher now that I'm watching it again. Lots of quick cuts, too. Trying to fool the music machines at YouTube?
