New Auralnauts Song Download!

Hey everyone,

Fair warning, long post inbound! To get a kick ass new track, just jump to the end. The track in question is one we made for a charity drive we're calling The Copyright Claim Challenge.

As most of you know, the biggest challenge our channel faces is a daily onslaught of copyright claims against our videos. Best case, these claims result in any money our videos generate going into someone else's pockets. Worst case, it blocks the videos from public view entirely and puts our whole channel in jeopardy. The high number of claims against our videos result in our channel being flagged as problematic, which means the Youtube algorithm makes it more difficult for people to find new videos, even for subscribers.

In a perfect world, we'd be able to focus solely on making new content. But people are lame, and recently someone from Sony manually made about 20 claims against our channel in less than 10 minutes. One of those claims was against DJ Dooku and his floor banger Jedi Party. The claim states that Jedi Party is in fact the Mortal Kombat song Techno Syndrome. Not sounds like. Not a parody. Not even a cover. IS the Mortal Kombat song. This is objectively not true. After Sony denied our dispute, we decided to take it as far as it can go in order to get this false claim removed. It may be the hill we end up dying on. Sony has until April 7th to respond.

In the meantime, we made a song that is DEFINITELY NOT TECHNO SYNDROME. It's called Mortality Fight, an over the top 90s homage about a completely different fantasy martial arts tournament that is in no way associated with Mortal Kombat. Our plan is to give this song away for free and encourage people to use it in a video, then upload the video to Youtube. The content ID system should detect our song and claim the video. For one year, 100% of the money generated by the ad revenue from Mortality Fight claims will go to a charity that focuses on the creative development of future content creators.

We'll have an announcement video coming out sometime next week to get the charity drive going. Let's use this stupid, abusive system for a good cause. In the meantime, enjoy MORTALITY FIGHT

Love,

Craven + Zak

I hope you guys fuckin kick sony’s ass somehow, this isn’t the only case of something like this I’ve heard of. Sony just does this because they think they’re big enough to just wear everybody else down by attrition. The song is tight af by the way. You guys are the defenders of earth world dimension in the mortal fight tournament, together earth world dimension forces will ward off Sony Khan’s invasion forces.

Sony are dicks and everything that everyone else has said. Like the new tune though, Zak, you seem to be channeling a bit of Jack Black there, nice.

Stellar musical historical re-enactment here, guys! That house piano breakdown kills me. It takes me right back.

April Fool's, dudes. It's such a ripe opportunity.

Ninja Tweak

You hear that, Ed Boon? Now's your chance to make a good MK11 trailer that gives your competitor a big middle finger. Because Warner Music totally wouldn't do this same crud to people. :o

Zak played the track for his gym coach Sam, who is legitimately a die hard 90s techno fan. He told him the track was supposed to be a dumb parody, but when Sam finished listening to it he goes "I don't get it. I thought this was supposed to be bad." It's definitely getting the workout seal of approval and I'm glad you think so too.

Dude, the fact that you are contributing at all is more than we could ever hope for xoxo

Auralnauts

The motivation is the same old sad story. "We've got a lot of money. But there's still money out there. We want that money too."

Auralnauts

We got you with THAT BEAT. Sorry not sorry? Hope you still enjoy the song!

Auralnauts

Yeah, everyone is just trying to make something that they can say they own. Right now Youtube is basically the internet meme "You made this? Oh, I made this"

Auralnauts

We're going to upload it to all our stores, but man, you've already been here so long, you've done more than your share of helping.

LET'S FIGHT TOGETHER

If you do it wasn't intentional. We just pulled out every trick in the 90s techno book. The most obvious references I would say are the entire Mortal Kombat album and Streets of Rage.

First and foremost, you guys are responding really well to Sony's objectively Richard move. They're being real Richardheads right now, and you're in the right to stand up and fight. Second, this song is bangin' and going straight into my gym mix alongside (you guessed it) Jedi Party. Nothing gets me through an elliptical sprint or tough machine set like listening to the guest list for Jedi/Clone Valhalla. You don't want to give up when it means letting down Jango, Aayla, Stannis, Jango, Plo, Jango, or Maul.

1. This is so much fun. 2. Nobody tell Sony about the hundreds of bad hardcore records that influenced the Mortal Kombat soundtrack.

Kickass track, sad (and mostly frustrated) to hear about all the issues you have with assholes claiming shit they shouldn't be claiming, but I hope you continue to fight to get the claim removed as it is.. well, evidently false. I wish my personal economy was more stable so I could increase my tier from 5 to 10 but I have to stay at 5 for now at least. :(

I'm just baffled by this. Like, where is the common sense? Where is the motivation for taking it down? What are they getting out of this? When did Anakin become a total sellout? Support you guys all the way.

Feel for you guys, wish I could do something. Jedi Party is one of the most amazing pieces of content on the internet, I just re-watched it with one of my good internet pals a few weeks ago. Mortality Song was great, my headphones were too high and I got blasted by the intro, maybe I can make an injury claim against this song too? Best wishes.

Man that's such a shit situation. Now I see why so many creators are jumping into podcasts. On the other hand this track is slammin!

Somebody just posted a screencap of them using the YouTube copyright claim as Shazam to find a song they were looking for by uploading the sound clip and waiting till it got auto detected and removed. Sad you guys have to go thru this shit, but it makes me real happy that you're as dedicated to your creations and passions as we are to drinking Zimas. Anything besides uploading the video on YouTube and donating here on patreon we can do to help you guys, I'm in.

If i ever run for office, the core of of mission will be to ensure creators are paid for their work. This will be the campaign song , #MortalityVote2020

Do I detect an early Moby influence in there too? Specifically Every Time You Touch Me off of the album Everything is Wrong?

What a bunch of cock-fucks.
