Just a little poll to set my priority list...

Guys, I have some projects in mind which I could work on next, but I can't decide which one should I focus on first. By voting to this poll you can help me decide :)

Here are the projects which I am thinking about currently and have some data to start with. As for tracks, there are 3 racing circuits and 1 hillclimb track. All these tracks were already made for AC but I would like to create more accurate and more recent versions, at least in the quality of my Slovakia Ring. As for the car, I would like to finish the Clio Cup 4 project. Those Clios were already replaced with 5th gen mods, but I think gen 4 is so good that it deserves proper (legal) mod for AC. The car which i already have here at my patreon has "borrowed" 3D model from PCars, I would love to be able to share it publicly as fully legal mod.

TCR cars are currently on hold. There will be some updates soon when I will receive new sounds for all three cars, Honda for now is not possible, I don't have data nor 3D model for now.

So please vote or leave me a comment with some suggestions, it will help me a lot... Thanks.

Hiya - Read your new post just now - the track looks great! Brings a smile to my face to see that you managed to make it work. :) Especially with all the difficulties you mentioned both here and in the new post.

Haha, thank you (also for the quick reply!) - I remember a similarly photogrammetry-based track, East London (similarly converted from rF2) by pugsang and CrisT86 from the GTPlanet forum. Maybe they faced the same issue at some point? Might be worth reaching out to them. (This is for when you clear the IRL stuff, of course - I don't mean to rush, just trying to help) Here's the link to pugsang & CrisT86's East London: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/assetto-corsa-pc-mods-general-discussion.307899/page-3161#post-13581584 And the link to the original photogrammetry-based rF2 track: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2220210569

Yes I did. I was actually lucky, I was contacted by a guy Heikki who did pretty decent version for rfactor 2, it was made from photogrammetry scan which he did by himself, it is on par with laserscanned version, the whole project looked very promising. But... Heikki is working still on the track, it is almost finished. He even gave me his Blender project to help with my conversion, but for some strange reason, I struggle to load his mesh into ksEditor. It always freezes, no errors, no warning, it is stuck at the fbx loading forever. No idea why. I tried some old tricks, tried to convert it to various fbx formats, tried to split meshes, apply some 3dsmax magic on it yet still the track fails to load into ksEditor. I am desperate and I am loosing possibilities what to do with it. This is first time I had these kind of issues with 3D mesh. I still have some ideas but now I am busy with some real life stuff so I will try again when I will have some ideas what to do with it. I really thought this will be one weekend project one day I will finish it for sure :D

Hi Fuzo - Did you choose Oschersleben in the end? (It did win the poll - but since then we got the Raceroom lidar version, and now everything's blowing up around AC Evo)

Atticus

Salzburgring would be amazing, we haven't had a good version ever in AC like ever.

If you didn't know, Reboot have been working on a Brno, chock-full of modern updates. Still very much in development. Check the GTPlanet thread for more. Not sure of the track mesh source, but since this version (which is excellent imo) is still in active development, I'd pass on that. Out of all of these, I'd say the Salzburgring and Oschersleben are the best choices if the question is "what does the platform currently need". The Salzburgring out there is another Reboot project (collab with Legion) but is one of their oldest tracks if I recall correctly. Worth a look. And of course, you yourself released Oschersleben, although I believe it was scratch made. A "definitive edition" with ACCakut's LiDAR data would certainly be worth it. This one is my pick. As always, cheers for all that you do, and hope you grabbed a few more patrons from Overtake's recent shoutout of your excellent TCR cars.

Brno for sure I love that track

brett grimes

when I got data from ACCakut, I thought it will be quick job, he was quite far in the project, but when I saw the mesh, I was overwhelmed with how much work it would require to do it as I would like to have it. He used slightly different approach to model the track and the terrain objects around the track, but I found one 3dsmax plugin which could automate some processes which need to be done, so I will most likely look on it again very soon.

I follow the development of Masscot's version, but the whole project is based on very old conversion and the track itself is very inacurate, I have data which would let me do proper, more accurate version. And its almost my second home track, I've been there couple of times, have photos from there, so similar attachment like with Slovakia Ring :)

I belive AC Evo will have latest Brands Hatch in Early Access :)

Roman Fusaty

What are the odds of a newer Brands Hatch? The one from KS is outdated a bit... And missing alot of features, but also including features that shouldnt be there :)

Elliot Faggetter

Please no Brno track, since Masscot is working on a proper version. Please finish Oschersleben, I sent some pictures to AccAkut also some time ago to help him developing the track.

Fall Guy

I would love to drive clio 4 cup man

Süleyman Akkaya

As for a Hillclimb, I'd love to see a Fuzo Made Rampa Da Falperra. One of the greatest Hillclimbs in the planet and it's from where I live, Portugal!

Cristiano Marques

I'd be happy with either Oschersleben or Salzburgring - but I voted Oschersleben as that's a LiDAR base. (I don't use the current version of either of these, exactly because of their inaccuracies - Oschersleben's base is good, but all the kerbs and verges are wrong and they're a big part of the ideal line, so they are critical. Would be really happy with an accurate Oschersleben! :)
