PHASE // A Lunar Series
Added 2019-07-26 07:38:51 +0000 UTCIt's been a long while since I've made a series out of anything. I used to do it all the time! Like my 'Dulces' girls where I was playing with negative space, my Zodiac girls, and so on.
So I really want to make a whole series dedicated to one of my most favourite things: the moon.
I made this first piece a while back when the inspiration was burning in my heart so strongly I couldn't ignore it anymore. I have so many of these little 3 x 3" watercolour squares cut out, ready for the next piece. My intent, I think, is going to be to make about three pieces per moon phase? Eight phases, three a phase, that'll be twenty-four whole pieces..!
I haven't made anything that long since my first Inktober and even MerMay a few years back. Fingers crossed I make it through because I'd really like to turn them into a small book.
