Kinktober prompt Kakashi/Aiko
Added 2022-10-13 00:26:40 +0000 UTCI've never done these before, but what the hell. This is very early, I'll put it up on other sites on the right day.
Kinktober prompt: collar.
Set in the AIC arc when Aiko has taken a genin team in to participate in Konoha's exams.
…
The days in Konoha were beginning to blend together, but the day that her genin had to go in for a physical stuck out in her brain.
'Did the foreign genin participants have to do this last time? I didn't hear anything about this. Maybe they know I've been leaving Konoha somehow and they're trying to gather information.'
Aiko waited by herself outside a bleak public building and worried the problem between her teeth. Her kids had been signed inside well over an hour ago. She had been given no instructions except to wait for further instruction.
There had initially been other foreign jounin around. Two of them had been there when she arrived. They'd both gone into the building at some signal. If they'd left the building after that, it was via a different door.
'I don't like this. Why are they keeping me waiting? Why am I the only one here?'
The reason for the delay showed his face.
"Sorry I'm late. I was shopping." Kakashi brandished a brown paper bag for proof.
Well. He showed about 25% of his face, anyway. Either way, the insincerity in his voice relaxed the tension in her shoulders. This was normal.
"Snacks, for you I presume?" Aiko gave the brown bag a glance. She recognized the logo as a chain for pet supplies. "Probably needed a new bone to chew on. Very understandable. Of course it took you an hour to choose between a femur and a pig's ear."
Kakashi gave her a very fake eye-smile. "Ah, not for me. And not snacks. Shopping for someone else is hard." He put drama into his voice.
She snorted. "That figures. You have a whole dog pack, yeah? They must keep you busy running their errands, since you don't have anything better to do." Her tone was deliberately smug and airy. She had it on good authority from Sasuke that it was extremely irritating.
Kakashi hummed. "Maa, it's an accessory for my pug. Do you think it'll fit?" There was a rustle and then a jingle of metal.
He damn well knew Pakkun's size. Aiko turned to look anyway out of curiosity.
Kakashi was dangling a dog collar from one hand, held delicately between two fingers. It hung straight down to display the length.
Yeah. It looked like it would fit. Lengthwise, anyway. It was very thick for a small dog like Pakkun. Wouldn't that be heavy for him?
'He's got some really fucking annoying joke in mind.'
"Nice collar," she said dryly. "Isn't brown more his color, though?" Aiko paused and amended, "I'd assume, for a pug."
The collar in his hands was black, with silver hardware and a dangling tag.
"Do you really think so?" He managed to play up concern. Kakashi put a hand under his chin and let the collar dangle. "I should check, don't you think? I can't return it after today."
She gave him an odd look. "Check? Sure." Aiko shrugged. "Summon your dog. He'll probably be better company than some."
Kakashi ignored the insult and hummed. "Thanks," he chirped.
What? She turned to see he was taking a step closer to her. Her brain fizzled out. What she thought he meant was impossible. No way. He wouldn't do that as a joke to his student, much less to a foreign Jounin that he didn't know was actually the Mizukage-
The collar closed around her neck with a soft click.
She raised a disbelieving hand to it. The leather was cold from being in the bag. The silver hardware was colder still.
The audacity took her breath away. Aiko stood stock still in the shadow of a tree and let her jaw drop open.
He'd really done that. He'd put a dog collar on her. They were standing outside of a government building and he'd put a dog collar on her.
Kakashi slipped his finger underneath and crooked it towards himself. The leather pulled against her neck uncomfortably, but without any pain. Aiko's pulse jumped. His hand was so warm. He let his finger relax.
She had no thoughts. Her head was empty. It was just her, the band around her neck, and the hot line of a finger against her throat. Aiko looked up at him with wide eyes.
"Hmm." The way he looked at her was too intense. Slowly, he put the next finger under the collar as well, as if he was checking the fit. The pressure ramped up.
Aiko swallowed hard.
The pressure against her throat was intense. She tried to take a breath. It was shaky and weak.
"Not bad," Kakashi hummed. His voice was infuriatingly normal. "I can fit two fingers in."
'I know where else you can fit two fingers.'
Aiko did not say that. There was something smug in his one visible eye that made her suspect that the thought was painted on her face.
She sniffed. "And why does that matter?" Her voice came out a little less haughty than she intended.
'I should slap him away and take this off.'
Kakashi leaned that little bit closer. He was looming over her, she registered. He was tall. Broad-shouldered. She'd always known that, but it felt very different right now. "We don't want you to choke." His tone was innocent. He crooked his fingers again and the pressure made her head spin. "But of course it's my job to ensure you don't slip away. So it can't be too loose either."
At the moment the absolute last thing that she wanted to do was slip away.
'He's not flirting,' Aiko reminded herself. She put her hand on top of his. 'He's mocking me, if anything. He's reminding me that I'm under watch. It's a dominance thing.' With effort, she pulled his hand off. He didn't fight her. She could see the hint of a smirk under his mask.
"Maa," he drawled. He put his hands in his pockets with deliberate casualness. "Well, if it fits you, it may as well stay on." He gave her an eye smile. "Maybe it'll make it easier to keep you from slipping away."
Aiko paused, torn. Her hand found the latch. "Maybe I should put this on you. I could tug on it when you're late."
He shrugged. "It wouldn't fit me." He said it with deliberate lightness.
She looked at his neck. She really looked at it. He wasn't a huge man by any means, but it was much thicker than her own.
…For the first time, she registered that her neck was apparently the same size as that of a small dog. She felt her face flush red. With anger? Was it embarrassment? She wasn't sure.
"Don't worry." Sweetness oozed from his voice, then it dropped half an octave along with her heart. "It looks good on you."
Her brain ceased to function.
'I've never heard that tone before. He is definitely flirting with me.' It finally registered. 'Yes, he's telling me that they know I'm sneaking around and saying that he's got an eye on me. But he's also flirting.'
Her lips were hanging partly open. She couldn't help it. Aiko stared up at him, barely breathing.
With immense effort, she took off the collar. She tossed her head. "I'd hate to keep someone else's present." She could hear that her tone was a pale imitation of her earlier insouciance. From the way he smirked at her, Kakashi heard it too. But he held out a hand- a big hand, why did he have such stupidly big hands?- and accepted the collar.
"Ne, Uzumaki-san," he purred.
Aiko was stock-still. She was no longer breathing. He was going to kill her if he kept using that tone. Her body didn't know what to do about it. Her world narrowed down to the body heat she could feel radiating from him and the slight jangle of the dog tag on his hand.
"Just let me know when you want it back."
And then the bastard left. Her higher brain function abandoned her to shriek in confusion. Was she into that? Was she into dog collars now?
It was a good five minutes before she realized that he was supposed to give her some kind of instructions.
