For what it's worth, in an interview Tony Khan said there are advantages to the larger venues such as more space for equipment like staging and cameras and that the larger arenas usually help with promotion for the show because they have more resources like mailing lists, billboards, etc. More people are aware of events taking place in larger, more well known venues.

2024-03-19 18:56:30 +0000 UTCIf they return to Ottawa, I’d like to see them book a smaller venue, it’s ok if the crowd’s not very big if the venue size means it’s near capacity. That Regina show last year was a small crowd but the small venue made it feel packed and loud on TV, that’s much better than a big space where the unused levels can feel hollow
