“Champaign”, they just need to give away a little bit of the bubbly and it’ll all work out

They’ll probably get 3k with walkups (hopefully). People are saving their money for All Out. This should have been elsewhere outside of Illinois.

Oh good god…

Kody Epidemic AKA The E-MO King, YEAH!

What makes this even worse is this is Tony Khan's home town. He was literally born and raised in Champaign, he went to college in Champaign. He should know how this town works and people in this town should know him and want to support him. Where are the childhood friends buying (or being comped) seats?

Shouldve worded it better then. We've seen companies literally sell 10 tickets. Maybe say major company show but even then early 90s WCW and WWF had worse numbers.

It's not a stretch to use history the way you did IMO. Very few promotions in history have had the money, resources, and talent that AEW has while also managing to have attendance figures this bad. It's one thing to sell 500 tickets with no production in a high school gym where your headliner is a crack addict who can't wrestle like Nick Gage, but another when you're being funded by a billionaire who has free reign to spend as much money as he wants. This is on pace to be the lowest attended dynamite in history. The lowest ever looks to be 2177 at Daily's Place, and the 2nd lowest is 2220 in SC. The craziest part is both of those are from this year. Their 3 lowest ever attended dynamites are on pace to be in their 5th year of operations. Unfortunately, nothing will change until Khan steps down. AEW now has a Vince problem where the show is booked for an audience of one. The best thing that ever happened to WWE was being able to replace Vince with someone competent like HHH, but with AEW being a private company I doubt even a scandal at the level of Vince's would force Khan to step down and put someone competent in charge of booking and operations. The roster has some tremendous talents like MJF and Ospreay who I hope one day have a chance to wrestle in front of 10k people every week when someone competent starts running AEW and brings them back to being a real WWE competitor like they were just a few years ago. In a publicly run company the people at the top would've been fired by now after seeing these kinds of terrible numbers for attendance and viewership, but alas AEW is a private company where the owner refuses to fire himself or acknowledge any wrongdoing whatsoever, not too dissimilar to someone else mentioned above.

Perhaps Tony should hype up that CM Punk will be there, only to pull a fake Razor and Diesel stunt. I kid, but they need to do something really soon.

James

Why are they going to the remote cities? Thought the news guys were taking over venue selection and marketing.

Ryan A

Its over 2 hours away from Chicago.

Shock T

Wow this is terrible

Danny Valentin

Over-used Chicago area. It happens, it'll hit 2500-3000 with walkups and comps, but that's way down from the last time.

Will

Maybe i will be there but i hope it comes more then 1000 People 🙈
