AEW All In Texas notes about general public sale today (Khan mentions Million Dollar Gate)

Today marks the general public sale for All In: Texas, starting at 10 AM CT / 11 AM ET.

AEW is making a significant push to elevate this sale, arguably more than any other general public sale in its history. The company is hosting a Countdown to On Sale event live from Globe Life Field, featuring appearances by Tony Khan, Bobby Lashley, Darby Allin, Thunder Rosa, Mercedes Moné, Big Boom AJ, and Big Justice. They are streaming the event on YouTube, Facebook, and X starting at 9:30 AM CT.

Tony Khan recently appeared on the Battleground Podcast and revealed that All In: Texas has already sold over $1 million worth of tickets. He stated:

“The tickets go on sale on Monday. The presale is open now, so you can look for the code, get into the presale, try to beat the rush on Monday and be a part of this presale that's open now. We've already sold over a million dollars' worth of tickets for All In, and those VIP packages went greatly.”

Thoughts:

A public event of this scale featuring AEW’s top stars was absolutely needed for a show of this magnitude. AEW has often been criticized for under-promoting major events, so it’s encouraging to see this level of effort. Tony Khan’s mention of over $1 million in ticket sales (including VIPs) is impressive and a bit surprising. If accurate, it suggests ticket distribution is already far ahead of some speculative figures circulating online.

I’ve held off on providing an estimate until the general public sale ensures the map is fully available. I aim to have the First Count later today.

In my view, AEW must dedicate every possible resource to making this event a success—not just at the gate but also in terms of attendance. A strong turnout is critical for the company’s first North American stadium show. If that means increasing the local marketing and advertising budget, it must be done. AEW should push this event at every opportunity in the market between now and July 12th.

Comments

Austin, TX (about 3 hours south of Arlington) is regularly in the low 100s this time of year. Should be a minimum of high 90s/low 100s.

Anybody here from Texas? How hot is it going to be in July?

Mmgeneral

Looking at the current seat map on Ticketmaster . Basically, the first three rows of every ring side is sold. And the next several ringside rows Vip packages $1350 + fees.

Mike

Any idea when we will get a ticket count? I checked the map but it’s tough to tell what’s been opened.

I really hope it succeeds. I attended the last 2 All In events in London and they were excellent. AEW always does good PPVs and they've stepped it up for All In. Anyone who does get tickets will be pretty much guaranteed a good show. The ticket prices seem pretty reasonable too. I've never been to America but I've even thought about going in July and then attending the show too. I think I'll wait until closer to the event before I make any final decision.

Cameron

Yeah, I think most feel that way. The more expensive tickets flew but not much in regards to the other ones. I'm figuring its somewhere between 3-5k sold, total, which is NOT good.

Will

I don't think the million dollar gate means more tickets have sold than thought. Some of those VIP's were 1,850. I've seen 3,000 as the amount of tickets sold a lot. All it would take at 3,000 tickets is an average of $333 a ticket sold so far

ItsNotThatSerious

Good move, all the top stars should be there.

Will

They added Swerve to the event today

Adam I

All hands on deck for them. Everybody on social media should be posting about it as well.

Will

Not a perfect analogy since he can't go bankrupt due to his father having more money than god but I understand the comparison

This is basically Tony’s first WM move as in “Do all it takes to move tickets or else face the bankruptcy.” No, the latter won’t happen. I’m only referring to the story of first WM and how it was presented as make or break. That’s how I see Tony feeling right now.
