[re: Ptah> Edward. ] Several years ago i was complaining about a fat obnoxious guy I knew and the guy I was speaking to said, "Sean, don't you have any compassion?" I paused, thought about and replied "No." This bothered me. There after for 3 nights I would wake up around 2-3am, couldn't sleep and would go to my living room where I usually did my prayer/contemplation. I would then pray ASK that my heart be opened. What followed was a series of lucid dreams and one particular morning I awoke hearing a sound .... I wrote down every way I could phonetically spell the 'sound" that I heard. That sound was " peh-tah" which when I looked up in Hebrew meant something like MOUTH ... BLOW...OPEN ...DOOR. I did also find Ptah the Egyptian god who was also patron god of stone carvers which was the understanding that resonated with me most at that time because I was doing quartz votive sculptures and selling them. ALSO and significantly I was attending a Sunday morning AA meeting which was also regularly attended by a guy who's full name I wont mention but he was the language expert consultant for the Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ. And so I asked Bill ( first name only) about the sound that I heard: Phonetically PEH-TAH. He leaned into to me and asked me to say it again. I was saying it the way that I heard it. The sound was made first by inhaling, breathing in , making the sound PEH then on the exhale making the sound TAH. He said, "That is interesting because you are saying that word correctly which 99% of the people who use, including scholars, pronounce it incorrectly." He went on to say something about political groups , guilds who used the word Ptah thru history but that didn't resonate w me much. Edward, upon seeing your drawings and description I was really thrilled at your explanation of the creative process, the architect Ptah etc etc. Thank you for the wonderful session. That was AWESOME!!!! When my brothers and I were kids my mom had this glass cutting board. We would take that, the Simon, and the speak and spell, yes I'm 46, and we would pretend like it was our computer and navigation and we were Star Trek Space explorers. I'm going to have to watch this one again. Great job guys, thank you!!!

I'd say most of Hollywood gets their inspiration from Ptah. That would explain why the Oscar award bears a striking resemblance to him. Many people equate Ptah to Enki, the creator god of the Sumerian pantheon.
