So, if we will use the analogy to the "normal" vision. The part of the body responsible for the reception of photons and their transit from the external environment into the nervous system are receptors in the retina. The retina is the part of the brain let's call it the "neural portion" of the eyes. I think it might be even part of the central nervous system. Then those signals are translated by other parts of the brain responsible for the generation of the image in our brain - the visual cortex.
Am I right thinking that parts of the brain that are equivalent to the visual cortex are mentioned in this video? Can you let me know what in your opinion is the equivalent of the eye and retina in the RV process?
