Pitches wanted for esports / gaming content (worldwide) | up to €250 per piece

Super happy to say I'm now open for pitches, so to all the awesome freelancers out there, hit me with the best you've got! 

Naturally  we're going to lean towards esports content for pitches given that's  the site's primary focus, but there's always scope for something juicy  about the big upcoming games such as FFVII Remake, Animal Crossing and  the likes (given we'll cover those too). 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Esports:  We're primarily an esports brand, so anything connected to the events,  the people, the behind the scenes, the business, and the nature of  competitive gaming is our bread and butter. All of it. If you've got a  story to tell, I'm interested in hearing it.

MMOs: We  already cover World of Warcraft to some extent, and MMOs are also part  of our strategy going forward, so the same thing applies. MMOs bring  people together in a way unlike anything else, so there are definitely  some amazing tales to be found. Let me know!

We also do  guides for the big games, like Pokémon, Fire Emblem, RDR2 and that kind  of thing. Same thing goes for all major upcoming releases, the likes of  Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cyberpunk 2077, etc.

And yes, that includes Animal Crossing. 

I know you lot are going crazy for that right now.

Indie  games aren't usually our thing, but some transcend their status. We're  covering the likes of Temtem and Wolcen right now, so by all means, send  me something - you never know!

TO PITCH:

If a writer can  just drop a link or two to some work in their pitch, and give a little  'about me' or point to their socials, that would also be nice. 

As  for the pitch itself, just a brief outline, whether or not they have  interviews/quotes involved, and what the angle is, we can go from there.  Doesn't have to be too detailed, just clear. Naturally given our focus  (esports and guides for the big games) we're not going to go for super  niche pieces, but if it's something interesting that has a broad appeal I  can pitch the suits, then I'll always go to bat for it.

I'll  accept pitches from all over, I'm not only going to limit it to US  writers when a good story is involved. Anyway, that would be weird - I'm  a Brit and we're based out of Paris.
