I am excited to start as Associate Editor. I'm looking for longform features, essays, memoir, maybe even short fiction. Got a story to tell?
Writers should familiarise themselves with the magazine before pitching. And read the pitching guidelines carefully.
It's also worth bearing in mind that we have longer lead times than other publications and sometimes work with writers on pieces for several months. We put a lot of work into pieces, and we expect a lot back.
COMPENSATION: Our guide fees are 70p/w for print, 40p/w for online, but both can vary depending on the nature of the reporting involved.
LOCATION: We welcome pitches from anywhere in the world. Excellent command of English is essential.
