Feature pitches wanted for music section | $400+ per piece

I'm looking for feature pitches for our music section, to run in late April and beyond. These stories are usually 2,000 words or so, and my base rate is $400. I like to plan a month in advance, so I'm already behind on the 4/23 issue.
Previous features are collected here (though some are online-only pieces, and thus either much shorter or clearly not intended for print).
I don't need a COVID-19 hook, for the record. Obviously your story will reflect the reality in which it's written, but regardless of the pandemic, people are still making music. This community still exists, even while we're sheltering in place. You can find a story there.
Obviously photo and video shoots present a special logistical problem right now, so try to avoid proposing anything that you may not be able to see to completion. Sure, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, but if the bridge isn't there . . .
