Writer wanted for business media startup | $150 per piece

We are searching for an experienced writer to produce content for a business media startup that is currently in stealth mode but will be launching in late June 2020. This engagement will be six weeks to start, with potential to become a long-term freelance position. You should be comfortable with producing a high volume of content and tailoring your writing style to accommodate the needs of different audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce a minimum of five pieces of content per week, for six consecutive weeks
- Weekly progress evaluations with in-house editorial staff
- Ensuring that content is properly researched
- Maintaining originality in your work
- Proofreading your assignments in advance of submitting them
- Writing in adherence with house style guide
- Types of content you produce may include the following:
- 800–1,200-word feature articles
- Product reviews
- Roundups (à la Forbes lists)
- Tip of the Day”– style emails
- Content with an eye toward affiliate revenue generation
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience as a professional writer or equivalent academic experience (e.g., journalism school)
- Experience and comfort with being top-edited and copyedited
- Portfolio of writing samples
- Familiarity with G Suite and Microsoft Word
- Excellent communication and time management skills
PAYMENT
We will compensate you $150, on average, for each exclusive piece you produce.
